Welcome to Watchly ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

Our application primarily operates locally on your device. However, we access certain features and use third-party services that may collect data:

• Camera Usage: We use your device's camera solely for the purpose of scanning movie posters to identify content via OCR or image recognition. The images are processed locally or transiently sent to recognition APIs and are not stored on our servers.
• Photo Gallery: We request access to your photo gallery to allow you to manually upload movie posters to your personal library.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app's performance and stability.

3. Third-Party Services & AdMob

We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect and use your personal data, including your device's Advertising ID (IDFA), to serve personalized ads based on your interests.

4. Data Storage

Your personal movie and TV show lists, notes, and ratings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData/CoreData. We do not have access to your personal watch history.

5. Children's Privacy

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

6. Subscriptions

Some features of Watchly are available through a paid subscription ("Premium Membership").

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis and are processed through your Apple ID account.
• Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial period ends.
• Manage Subscription: You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your App Store account settings.
• No Refunds: Subscription payments are managed by Apple, and we do not have access to issue refunds.
