A. On-Device Processing (Your Files and Photos)

BioScan is designed with privacy in mind. All core features—including document scanning, biometric photo creation, AI background removal, face detection, and OCR (Text Recognition)—are processed locally on your device.

We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos, documents, or extracted text to our servers. Your files remain securely on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them via third-party apps (e.g., Mail, WhatsApp).

B. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep BioScan free for our users, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data to provide personalized ads. This data may include:

• Device identifiers (such as Apple's Advertising Identifier - IDFA).
• IP addresses and general location data (derived from IP address).
• App usage data and interactions with ads.

You can opt-out of personalized advertising by adjusting the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" settings in your iOS Privacy settings.

2. Required Permissions

To function properly, the app requests the following permissions:

• Camera: Required to scan documents and take biometric photos directly within the app.
• Photo Library: Required to select existing photos for background removal and to save your generated biometric prints or scanned PDFs to your gallery.
• App Tracking Transparency: Requested to deliver relevant advertisements via AdMob (you can decline this).

3. Third-Party Privacy Policies

Our app utilizes third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. We highly recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party service providers:

4. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
